I’d beg to differ as the “nukta” here is the full stop… have a careful look at the Quranic script…the “nukta” there would be the one that defines its begining….meaning the essesence of the Quran is in its “Bismillah” and the essensece of “bismillah” is the “nukta-tul-Ba”….us nuktey main sub posheda hai

I could not relate much of the kaafi with the text recorded thereunder. It appears that much changes have been made subsequently in the song sung by Abida but the text has not been revised accordingly.
Again, in the stanza of band 9 of the kaafi which reads as under:
“Pa Latha Mehraab Dikhaai Da”
the word ‘latha’ should perhaps be ‘litta’ as it would then mean:
‘He makes a show of the mehrab he got thus (by rubbing his forehead on the ground)’.
Further, I think some extraneous additions seem to have been made in the kaafi. For instance, the mention of the burning of tents during hajj (this I could not find in the text) which is a recent phenomenon could not perhaps be a part of the original kaafi.

Welcome to the new Folk Punjab. What you have noted is correct. Folk singers have traditionally been adding/modifying original lyrics. Often mixing ines from other kafis and even other poets into the main kafibeing sung. See this, for example, http://folkpunjab.com/abida-parveen/ab-lagan-lagi-ki-kariye/ . There are two whole band from another kafi/poet. I have put | with them. That is why we are adding the “complete original kalam” section for each poet in three scripts (roman, shahmukhi, gurmukhi). Those sections will present original poetry. While the lyrics below each sung-version will be what the singer sang.
I could not explain how marvousily explained the human hypocarsy.how a man doughted himself rather pretending himself that he is too much claver.
AOA abid bhai… u’ve done the great job by collecting all these kalams..but i’ve heard “Ek nukte wich gal mukdi” somewhere else n that kalam exactly same with the lyrics mentioned here and that kalam strat exactly with these words ” je rab milda nahtyaan dhohtyan” but in this recording it is not starting according to lyrics mentioned here. And that recording was live performance. If u can arrange that live recording i’ll be very greatfull to you.

Generally people enjoy the poetry and singing but it is very unfortunate that people ignore the message that Bulleh Shah tried to convey, bulleh shah belonged to the family of prechers of islam. He left his family tradition and became disciple of a KAMIL MURSHID of his time ie PIR INYAAT SHAH, now the question is that how many who enjoy Bulleh Shah poetry ever searched for a KAMIL MURSHID for themselve.

@nikko: it means that offering sajdas and getting mehrab on ur forehead while doing so is of no use unless u have a deep down understanding in ur heart of purity, belief and love for ur HIGHER SELF …….. u may call that higher self GOD, ALLAH or whatever …….. but it’s the purity and faith and belief that counts …… not the performance of ur physical religous rituals

Aslam-o-alekum, I appreciate all your comments and agreed with all of you. Teachings of all religions is same, like all springs flowing in the same directions towards sea. I really believe in Rasool Allah’s saying that; If someone reads the Qalma from the true, clear heart Insha Allah on the day of judgement he will going to Paradise. Reading Qalma “There is no god but Allah and Prophet Mohammad P.B.U.H is his messenger. See above is not the simple line but hidden inside the above line is all about that you and i are searching for. Believing in one Allah is enough. I don’t seek the heaven or hell but i do seek the love of the creator of the universe. Oo believers see and imagine how beautiful this earth is, meanwhile, imagine how beautiful would be paradise, hence think twice how beautiful would be the creator of both earth and paradise, I only love him, I only need him, he is everything to me. Oo Allah I love you please forgive me that will be the great reward for me. According to the my opinion this was the less meaing of Ek Nukte wich gal mukdi he, AN UNSLOVED MYSTERY.
