This is one of my most favorite Shiv Kumar Batalvi poems. It is said he wrote it on the death-bed looking at the trees from the window. I don’t know if that’s true or not but the poem is nevertheless beautiful.

    The song beautifully corelates different ages and relations with trees. The emotions of the poet are eloquently depicted in the wording of the song which straight touches the young romantic hearts.
