Is it the traditional punjabi Pug ( Headgear ) ???
Kulli means a thached hut or small dwelling. Bulleh Shah was rejected by his teacher Inayat Shah for a blunder on someone else’s part. Bulleh Shah a seeker of knowledge, acknowleged his mistake for putting his teacher in this spot and he tried to correct it. He tried many ways to please his teacher and be accepted as a student also mentioned in the song. Eventually he built and resided in a hut where his teacher Inayat shah used to frequent. Kulli rah vich pai assan tere, aunda janda tak da rahin – means I built a hut on your way, so you may be able to glance at while on your way. That is a translation – and I must say that 80-90% of the content gets lost in translation.

This is a great song, sang in equally great voice ! Only the persons who are equally deep in their mind and heart can understand this beautiful song.
This is my humble try to translate this soul touching song into English. I know how difficult it is to translate this song, but the people who cannot understand lyric, it would give them an idea of the song. And those who understand Punjabi(song) my apologies for not doing enough justice with the translation.
