The inimmitable Zahida Perveen has always done full justice to Saraiki poetry with incredible compositions. This lyric is certainly one of those.
Unfortunately a number of singers render poetry from memory, rather than the actual text, thus making changes as they go along. In this rendering, the lines are mixed up and diction of certain words is unclear. One needs to thank Dr.Naqvi for doing a great job. However, I think certain words in the transliteration need to be checked. With reference to the great scholar on Farid’s poetry, Mr. Aziz-ur-Rehman, a re-consideration is suggested.
